The National Diabetes Prevention Program (NDPP) is a yearlong, evidence-based, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recognized lifestyle change program for those who have been diagnosed with prediabetes or are at a high risk for developing type 2 diabetes.
NDPP's goal is to give participants the opportunity to learn to skills and tools needed to make simple choices in everyday life to lose weight, reduce dietary fat intake, and increase daily physical activity.
DHD#10's NDPP is led by trained lifestyle coaches who facilitate, motivate, and encourage group dynamics among a community of people looking to make healthy lifestyle changes to provide a participant with a rewarding journey.
