April!! Spring is upon us, my friends. I'm bringing to you two smoothies for April featuring carrots to get you ready for the season. 1. Peach Carrot Smoothie I used baby carrots for this because I thought they would chopped up in the smoothie easier than larger carrots. Chopped carrots will work just as well. - 1 ½ cups Peaches (frozen or canned) - 1 cup baby carrots - 1 frozen banana - ¼ cup nonfat plain Greek yogurt - 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk Tip: If using frozen peaches, blend everything else together first then add the frozen peaches as sometimes they can be hard to blend. 2. March is here! That means spring is hopefully just around the corner. This month we have 2 green smoothies, all varying widely in flavors and ingredients. 1. Green Goodness This smoothie is one of my favorites. I happened upon it one day when throwing together what I already had on hand, and it became a staple in my mental smoothie bible. The spinach turns it into such a pretty spring green color and is tasteless. A very fruity, refreshing taste! - 1 cup spinach - 1 cup frozen mangoes - ¾ cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk (or milk of choice) - 1 container light orange crème yogurt Add everything to blender and blend until combined. 2. Pistachio Smoothie I love pistachios. I love pistachio
