Smoothie STARS

Spring has OFFICIALLY sprung here in Michigan. With the month of May comes sunshine, flowers, weddings, and of course Mother’s Day. This month, we have 3 smoothies, including my mom’s favorite!

1. Wedding Cake

This smoothie tastes just like the batter. You could even top it off with some sprinkles if you're feeling adventurous!

- 1 frozen banana

- 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk (or milk of choice)

- ½ cup raw shelled pistachios

- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder

- 2 Tbsp almond butter

- ¼ tsp almond extract

- ½ tsp butter extract



















2. Blueberry Cobbler

This is another smoothie recipe I happened upon one day when trying to use up ingredients I already had available.

- 1 cup frozen blueberries

- 1 container nonfat blueberry yogurt

- ¾ cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk (or milk of choice)

- 1/3 cup oats

- dash of cinnamon



3. Now for mom's favorite: Deep Purple Smoothie

This smoothies is easy to make and mom approved!

- 1 cup spinach

- 1 frozen banana

- 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk (or milk of choice)

- ½ cup blueberries

- ½ cup blackberries
