Earth is the only place in the known universe confirmed to host life. Preserving the planet is our responsibility, but the balance of life on Earth is delicate. Changes to the climate — defined as the average range of weather experienced in certain place over a long period of time — can dramatically impact the health of the planet’s ecosystems, affecting everything from food production and water availability to wildlife and human health.
This week is Climate Week, and we want to focus on ways that you can connect with and protect the planet. Take a mindful walk outdoors to renew your appreciation for all the sights, smells, and sounds nature has to offer; try biking around town instead of driving to reduce carbon emissions and improve your physical health; and learn how eating more plant-based foods and fewer animal products can help save the Earth’s precious resources. This Monday, consider the climate in everything you do.
