#HealthyMondayRefresh 10.19.2020
Preventing problems is much easier than reacting to them, especially when those problems involve your health. With a few small lifestyle adjustments, you can dramatically reduce your risk factors for developing chronic illnesses such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and obesity.
This week, we’re focusing on how stress reduction, physical activity, and healthy eating can help you prevent disease. We’re inspired by the new book Healthy at Last, authored by our friend and Monday Campaigns supporter, Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams. In his book, Mr. Adams explains that by adopting a plant-based diet and incorporating more exercise into his weekly routine, he was able to lose weight, lower his cholesterol, and reverse his diabetes. This Monday, use Eric Adams as an inspiration, and start taking small steps towards better health.
1. Move towards a healthier you

2. Be mindful to beat unhealthy cravings

4. Make a burger out of a superfood
