Manistee County Community Foundation Announce 2019 Grant Cycles
The Manistee County Community Foundation is pleased to announce its 2019 grant cycles. Established in 1987, the Foundation seeks to invest in programs and projects that improve the quality of life in Manistee County and has recently expanded its grantmaking programs.
The Foundation will offer three grant cycle opportunities during 2019.
Eligible applicants include 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations, school districts, units of government, including recognized tribal governments, and other tax-exempt organizations. Detailed grant guidelines and information about how to apply for each grant opportunity is available on the Foundation’s website at www.manisteefoundation.org.
The MCCF Youth Advisory Council is currently accepting grant applications to support programs and projects that improve the lives of Manistee County Youth. The YAC Grant application deadline is March 15, 2019. Grant awards are anticipated to be announced by April 26, 2019.
The Minger Family Endowment Fund Grant Cycle is open now through the April 15, 2019, deadline. Up to $380,000 in funding is available during 2019. Grant applications will be considered for projects that improve recreation opportunities (active and/or outdoor) and access to recreation within Manistee County through maintaining and expanding existing recreation facilities and acquiring and developing new recreation facilities. Grant awards are anticipated to be announced by July 1, 2019.
The Limitless Fund & Field of Interest Fund Grant Cycle will open on August 15, 2019 through the October 15, 2019, deadline. Up to $40,000 in funding is available during 2019. Grant applications that improve all areas of life with the exception of recreation (active and/or outdoor) are eligible under this grant program. Grant awards are anticipated to be announced by December 31, 2019.
The first step in seeking a grant from the MCCF is to complete a Grant Inquiry Form which is available on the Foundation’s website. Please note that this step is not required to apply for a YAC Grant. Foundation staff will respond to Grant Inquiries within two weeks to provide information about the eligibility of the project for funding from the Foundation. If the project is eligible under a grant cycle that is currently open, Foundation staff will email a link to a grant application form.
